Police inspection of the scene revealed that two gas pipes were laid from outside the wall to the window of the corridor leading to the strong room of the bank. The robbers according to the report used the gas equipment to cut the burglary proof window to gain access to the corridor but in an attempt to enter, a sensor triggered the alarm making them abandon their equipment and bolted. A cutter was found near the window with welding equipment and about ten nylon sacks left inside the corridor.
The information says the police traced the two gas pipes over the wall to a nearby school and found two gas cylinders there. The police accompanied by the bank’s branch manager who had the strong room keys inspected the bank safe and found it intact.
