Footballer Commits Suicide
A footballer, Isaac Mensah has committed suicide by hanging in the Bia West District of the Western Region.
The footballer who is popularly known as Kalanga was discovered hanging on a tree in the house.
It remains unclear what necessitated his action.
But in a report on Nyankonton Mu Nsem on Rainbow Radio 87.5fm, an eye witness, Ama Antwiwaa said a middle-aged man stormed the family house of the deceased to warn his parents to advise their son against dating his daughter or have themselves to blame.
She disclosed that the parents waited for the arrival of their son from work so they could speak to him, but he did not come home before they retired to bed.
According to Antwiwaa, Isaac’s fiancee, who is currently pregnant with his child, saw him wielding a cutlass and a rope Monday evening.
The fiancee stated she had no idea what the objects were intended for.
He was discovered hanging on a tree by some neighbours who informed the parents.
Meanwhile, the man who allegedly stormed the family house of the deceased to warn the parents has been arrested and assisting the police with their investigation.
