Former Hearts star Benjamin Afutu joins Taqadum in Saudi Arabia

The 26-year-old box-to-box player has completed his move to the League Three club on a one-year deal after leaving Egypt Premier League team Eastern Company FC this window.

Former Accra Hearts of Oak SC midfielder enforcer Benjamin Afutu Kotey has signed for Saudi Arabian Second Division club Al Taqadum FC, Dailymailgh.com can confirm.

The 26-year-old box-to-box player has completed his move to the League Three club on a one-year deal after leaving Egypt Premier League team Eastern Company FC this window.

He was in Egypt for the past season after refusing to extend his contract with the Phobians at the end of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League season.

He played a pivotal role to help the Phobians win the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League and MTN FA CUP trophies respectively.
