Gaming Awareness Month Launched

The Gaming Commission of Ghana has designated the month of September as Responsible Gaming Awareness Month, with a focus on promoting ethical and responsible gaming practices for the sustainable development of the industry.

In this inaugural celebration, the commission is highlighting the importance of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within the gaming sector. The month-long activities aim to underscore the commission’s commitment to ensuring that the growth of Ghana’s gaming industry adheres to ethical standards and contributes positively to society.

During the launch, Peter Mireku, the CEO of the Gaming Commission, noted that technology has become central to the industry, with gaming evolving into a popular activity across Ghana. This rapid growth has created a need for increased oversight and the promotion of responsible gaming practices.
