Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hearts of Oak Fredrick Moore has lamented about the difficulty in securing sponsorship citing the lack of football in the country as the reason.
Clubs on the local scene have struggled to broker sponsorship deals in recent times but the recent inactivity on the domestic has worsen the already bad situation.
Speaking to Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM, the Hearts of Oak Chief said:
“Getting sponsorship in Ghana is difficult for a variety of reasons, we haven’t played football for two years, what benefit will a sponsor accrue should it sponsor a club.
He however revealed his outfit are in talks with some companies who have showed interest in sponsoring the Rainbow club.
“We have a number of companies that have approached us, we are talking to them.
“Very soon Hearts will get a commercial manager, on Monday we will inform our supporters in a proper way” he concluded.
