The Acting Chief Executive Officer of Ghana National Gas Limited (Ghana Gas), Ing. Dr. Robert Kofi Lartey, has outlined the company’s strategic role in advancing the 24-hour economy initiative. Addressing the management team during his first official meeting, he highlighted key sectors such as agro-processing, transportation, construction, and manufacturing as critical areas where Ghana Gas will provide essential support.
Emphasizing safety and reliability in gas operations and transportation, Dr. Lartey reaffirmed Ghana Gas’ commitment to its mission and values. “Health, safety, environment, and security are deeply embedded in our organizational culture, and we must continue to uphold and strengthen these principles,” he stated on February 10, 2025.

He underscored the importance of ensuring a steady gas supply to vital industries, including cocoa processing and gas-powered railways, which are integral to the 24-hour economy agenda. Additionally, he called for the acceleration of major projects such as the LPG Bottling Plant, which is expected to generate employment and further align with the government’s vision for economic growth.
