Ghana Police Service Strengthens Security at Four Collation Centers in Eastern Region
The Police Service has assured the public of adequate security measures to allow EC officials to carry out their duties without obstruction, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining peace and order throughout the process.
The Ghana Police Service has intensified security measures at four collation centers in the Eastern Region, according to a statement by Mrs. Grace Ansah-Akrofi, the Public Relations Officer of the Service.
The collation of results for the four constituencies has been relocated to the National Police Training School (NPTS) in Tesano, Accra. The process is currently underway with heightened security provided by both police and military personnel to ensure safety and order.
A similar arrangement has been implemented in the Ashanti and Bono East Regions for the remaining collation centers. The Police Service is awaiting confirmation from the Electoral Commission (EC) regarding the dates for these exercises, Mrs. Ansah-Akrofi stated.
