“We can’t continue to lose our brave men and women in uniform to these senseless attacks,” said Kwame Asante, a businessman in Kumasi. “The government must do more to protect our military personnel and ensure that those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice.”

Others have called for increased security measures to be put in place to prevent such attacks from occurring in the future. “We need to see more troops deployed to these areas and more intelligence gathering to prevent these attacks,” said Ama Owusu, a student in Accra.

Mr. Ayuba Mohammed from Bawku in the Upper East Region also condemned the attacks and charged Ghanaians to work to ensure the safety and security of military personnel. “We have do everything in our power as Ghanaians to protect our personnel and ensure that those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice.”
