Ghana’s economic crisis demands an experienced leader, not an amateur driver’s mate – Mahama
During his campaign tour in the Upper East region, Mahama spoke to the residents of Sandema, asserting that the NDC is best positioned to revitalize Ghana’s struggling economy.
John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has argued that Ghana needs a seasoned leader to navigate its current economic challenges. He emphasized that the country requires a reliable and experienced team rather than an untested leader to improve its economic situation.
During his campaign tour in the Upper East region, Mahama spoke to the residents of Sandema, asserting that the NDC is best positioned to revitalize Ghana’s struggling economy. He stated, “This is the time when we need an experienced driver. This is not the time when we need a driver’s mate. And so the time is for experience. The time is for expertise. Because the situation in which our country is requires trusted and tried people who can turn our fortunes around.”
Mahama also voiced concerns about the risks of experimenting with new leadership. “Our young people have no more time to waste on experiments. We don’t want any experimental leader to come and say we should try him and that even after four years if I don’t do well, you can change me. No. The time for experimentation is past. This is the time for trust and experience,” he added.
