Most of the proceeds of Galamsey and Corruption are laundered through fraudulent land transactions and allocation of State Lands and Bungalows in the Prime areas of Accra, namely Airport, Cantonments, Labone, Adenta and Legon all of which are La Stool Lands.
ACT 1036 requires all Stools to set up Stool Lands Secretariats prior to any Land transaction.
ACT 1036 requires all fiduciaries to be accountable and transparent in all Land Transactions or face jail time.
The setting up of the La Stool Lands Secretariat and the synchronisation of the database with that of the Lands Commission will be a first step to starting the Real Fight Against Corruption, Galamsey and Money Laundering.
