Ghana’s Gangsterism @66: Impunity vs Stupidity
Is it the case that anybody can get access to Military uniforms, guns, armoured vehicles and Helicopter as happened this morning in Ashiaman?
Military Madness meets Mediocre Media as Asempa FM Ekosiisen makes excuses for Military brutalities meted out to residents of Ashiaman following gruesome murder of soldier.
Lynching or murder is a criminal offence but retaliation or reprisal attacks and mass beating or brutalitalization especially by armed uniformed soldiers is equally condemnable.
The Military using State Security Vehicles, Armoured Cars and Helicopters is unacceptable and must be immediately investigated.
WHO DEPLOYED THE ARMED MILITARY AND EQUIPMENT?
Is it the case that anybody can get access to Military uniforms, guns, armoured vehicles and Helicopter as happened this morning in Ashiaman?
The Police is responsible for investigation and handling the situation that the Military took upon themselves to conduct in the most barbaric manner in Ashiaman this morning…
The Military undertook a similar act in Wa, where soldiers went out to beat everybody on the streets of Wa because a soldier’s phone had allegedly been stolen…
President Akufo-Addo and the Military High Command together with the Defence Minister and the Interior Minister flew to Wa to beg the Chiefs and People of Wa to forgive the mutineering soldiers;
…instead of ensuring that they were punished to serve as deterrent to others…
RECALL:
Two soldiers in Ghana Army uniforms performing Landguard duties at Dome Faase were beaten…
Soldiers in a similar manner stormed Dome Faase, beating everybody in sight thus turning it into a Ghost Town…
The impunity of the Military did not start with the Ejura shooting and murder nor the near shootout between the Police and Military at Suame after a soldier was arrested for riding an unregistered motorcycle…
The 15th April, 2021 shooting and assault at Kplesto by armed men in Ghana Army uniforms was what opened the floodgates for the military impunity manifested all over Ghana.
The 16th April, 2021 Press Statement issued by the Military High Command promising to investigate the Kpletso Shooting and Assault was a hoax, never followed through, nobody punished and till date there has been no statement from the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces on the Kpletso incident…
The Defence Minister sent a high profile delegation from the Defence Ministry to make a token private donation at the funeral of one of the Kpletso victims who died of his injuries…
The stealing of the Kpletso Lands in the name of the Military must not be allowed to stand.
The illegal Military Cemetery and the Statue of Major Mahama were just a ploy by some thieves to steal a thousands of acres of Prime La Land lying near Burma Camp which is being walled at great cost…
The Special Prosecutor must investigate and make public the following;
1. The identity of who is paying for the walls being erected around Military installations to steal adjoining lands…
2. Whose money are the Military walls being built with?
3. Is the Prime La Land being used as payment for services;
…as has been done at the Cantonments Civil Aviation Land and the notorious Landguard Clemence Gyato and Anyok Holdings Vigilante group when they reclaim encroached State Lands…
The Military almost stormed Denkyira Obuasi following the lynching of Major Mahama…
Sadly, Major Mahama’s statue has been used to aid in stealing Prime La Lands.
It will be recalled that the La Mantse Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III signed a Petition to President Akufo Addo on 28th December, 2017; requesting him as Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to look into an allegation that the Military was clandestinely annexing LA STOOL LANDS.
It is a fact, that the land in question had not been acquired by the State for the Military who had only proposed an acquisition of the Land.
THE NATIONAL MEDIA COMMISSION REFUSED TO INVESTIGATE THE KPLETSO ASSAULT EVEN THOUGH SEVERAL JOURNALISTS INCLUDING NII AYIKWEI OKINE OF CITI FM.
The investigation by the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice [CHRAJ] on the Kpletso Shooting and Assault has been pending for two years…
The illegal Military Cemetery which was set up by the Military with impunity, next to residential facilities, was on the blind side of the Environment Protection Agency, the District Assembly and the relevant Health authority…
The illegal Military Cemetery together with adjoining lands are under 24hour Military guard, have all not been legally acquired and is a major flashpoints save the Military Landguards deployed there…
The identity of the “CRIMINAL COMMANDERS” and those in charge of these illegal deployment of military must be immediately investigated and culprits publicly punished.
If a soldier was murdered near Faanofa Street or at Cantonments, Labone, Ridge or Airport Residential area;
Should Ghanaians expect the same Ashiaman or Dome Faase reprisal attacks?
Ghanaians are expected to be Citizens and not Spectators…
PRESIDENT AKUFO-ADDO MUST ADDRESS THE NATION
and deliver a
REAL STATE OF THE NATION ADDRESS.
#STAY TUNED.
Recall the invasion of the Chamber of Parliament?
