FOR TWO LONG YEARS, the Military High Command which promised to investigate the 15th April, 2021 Kpletso Shooting and Assault by armed men in Ghana Army uniforms, has failed to take responsibility for the brutalities, deaths and injuries neither have they offered no apologies nor paid any compensation to the victims nor the families of the dead…

FOR TWO LONG YEARS, President Akufo-Addo remained silent about the Kpletso Shooting and Assault which has resulted in the deaths of three of the victims…

The Defence Minister, however, sent a personal donation of GHc20,000 through a high profile delegation from the Defence Ministry to the family of one of the three Kpletso victims [Adjorkor], in support of her funeral…

President Akufo-Addo flew to Wa, with the Defence and Interior Ministers together with the entire Military High Command, to beg for forgiveness for Mutineering soldiers who went on the rampage beating everybody on the streets of Wa because a soldier’s phone had allegedly been stolen…

The Interior Minister Set up a Committee of Enquiry into the Military Shooting at Ejura…

The Defence and Interior Committee of Parliament out of fear for their lives, aborted their fact-finding visit to Bawku and instead opted for a photo opportunity at Ashiaman…

The Military brutalities at Wa, Ejura, Bawku and Ashiaman all happened after the 15th April 2021 Kpletso Shooting and Assault which has been ignored, not acknowledged nor punished thus emboldened the Military to continue with impunity…

EVERYBODY, INCLUDING THE MEDIA, CSOs, HAVE BEEN PRETENDING THAT KPLETSO NEVER HAPPENED…

The National Media Commission made a U-Turn and refused to investigate the beating of journalists at Kpletso on 15th April, 2021 after initially promising to do just that, in accordance with their objectives for establishing an office for the safety of all journalists…

Citi TV journalist Nii Ayikwei Okine was wounded by the soldiers at Kpletso on 15th April, 2021 but the station which boisterously defended its journalists who were manhandled by National Security operatives, were not interested in finding out which soldiers beat him up or why?

The Commission of Human Rights and Administrative Justice acknowledged the petition to investigate the 15th April, 2021 Kpletso Shooting and Assault but for some strange reason, despite the availability of overwhelming video evidence, they have not done much…

The Inspector General of Police whose senior officers were present at Kpletso on 15th April, 2021 when the Shooting and Assault occurred and witnessed the brutalitalization of unarmed Ghanaian citizens refused to investigate despite Petitions to do so…

THERE IS A SIMPLE REASON FOR THE INACTION ON THE KPLETSO SHOOTING, ASSAULT AND LAND LOOTING…

There is a concerted effort to STEAL PRIME LA STOOL LANDS which includes the Kpletso Lands…

The Military started the clandestine annexation of La Stool Lands with the citing of an illegal Military Cemetery next to the plush Chain Homes without notification nor authorisation by the Assembly, Environmental Protection Agency and Municipal Health as required by law…

The deliberate encroachment on La Stool Lands near the Burma Camp by the Military was followed by erection of walls around the Burma Camp to include La Stool Lands which have not been acquired by the State, with the intent to annex or steal the La Stool Lands in the name of the Military…

On 29th December, 2017 the La Mantse and occupant of the La Stool, Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III petitioned President Akufo Addo on the clandestine annexation of La Stool Lands by the Military.

On 29th November, 2020 ahead of the election, President Akufo Addo through then Lands Minister Kweku Asoma-Cheremeh promised to return the entire Kpletso Lands but refused to do so immediately after the election…

Following the death of the La Mantse and occupant of the La Stool, Nii Kpobi Tettey Tsuru III;

The government proceeded through a fraudulent MoU, to illegally return and take over the Cantonments Civil Aviation Land which were subsequently shared amongst those who brokered the illegal deal and their cronies who are building on it despite the express opposition by the La Mantse even as the construction work may interfer with Civil Aviation equipment, endangering lives of passengers on flights in and out of Ghana and possibly lives of persons on the ground in La and the Airport environs…

It will be recalled that a plane landed near the El-Wak Stadium killing passengers in a trotro vehicle and the President’s plane was prevented from landing for hours due to Civil Aviation equipment failure…

The same fate has befallen the La Tradefair Redevelopment Project Land which is being looted;

The ongoing parceling off the land is despite the lack of Parliamentary approval of the controversial foreign agreement in the sum of $1billion contract signed by the former Trade Minister Alan Kyerematen on behalf of Ghana and Stellar Holdings, a Singaporean Company for the Redevelopment of 65acres of the Trade Fair Project Land leaving 75acres which is believed to have been shared among cronies…

The recent illegal return of a small portion of the Kpletso Lands is predicated on allegations of kickbacks involving the Ministry of Lands, the Military among others…

All Land transactions are to be made in absolute transparency and accountability in accordance with the new Land Law ACT 1039.

E.I.432 was used by the government to recently return some Ashanti Regional Lands INCLUDING LANDS OCCUPIED BY STATE INSTITUTIONS AS WELL AS THE MILITARY, to the Asantehene in trust for the Subjects of the GOLDEN STOOL.

It is therefore shocking that the same government, despite the recent Supreme Court ruling that Traditional Councils are statutory bodies and must not meddle in Land matters as they have NO CAPACITY chooses to return La Stool Lands to the La Traditional Council instead of the La Stool or wait to return to the next occupant of the La Stool, the La Mantse.

The Military will not be used to steal land, engage in Landguardism or profit from same.

The refusal of President Akufo-Addo, the Chief of Staff and the Lands Minister to make public the Status of all State Acquired Lands will settled in court soon.

Ghanaians deserve to know the all the high profile personalities stealing the Prime Lands as alleged by the Lands Minister…

Ghanaians are resolved to be Citizens and not Spectators; demand to know who deployed the soldiers to Kpletso on 15th April, 2021 and DEMAND THAT ALL THE SOLDIERS AND THEIR COMMANDERS ARE PUBLICLY PROSECUTED to serve as deterrent to others.

STAY TUNED.
