Ghana’s Web of Lies & Stolen State and Stool Lands: Cathedral to Kpletso

“All sorts of People, the people were revere and salute everyday; are stealing all the State Lands” – Lands Minister, Samuel Abu Jinapor.

Samuel Abu Jinapor said that “these people drive around on weekends through the prime areas of Accra – Labone, Cantonments, Airport, Trade Fair, Kpletso and Ridge looking for State Lands and Bungalows with little or no activity then come to my office to pressure me to allocate these prime lands to them.”

The Lands Minister further lamented “They can mount so much pressure, you have no idea…”

There are laws governing acquisition of Land by the State and by individuals including foreign entities.

The blood of the Victims of Kpletso Shooting and Assault by armed men in Ghana Army uniforms under the authority of President Akufo Addo and Defence Minister, Dominic Nitiwul are crying out for justice, Naa Adjorkor and Nii Nai Ako are dead…

The State through the President may acquire any Land anywhere including Kpletso or Ridge for a particular purpose such as a National Cathedral by an Executive Instrument; but not for a Private Cathedral, as in the case of the Akufo-Addo Private Cathedral at Ridge.

The Land upon which the Cathedral Project is sited was illegally and unconstitutionally acquired; the demolitions and subsequent commencement of construction despite a court injunction and pendency of a Substantive Court Case was circumvented by then Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.

The pressure on judges to vacate their residences and be relocated; was facilitated by then Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo.

The role of Justice Sophia Akuffo in the Cathedral Project must be investigated.

Rev. Victor Kusi-Boateng and Dr. Paul’s Opoku-Mensah said on Joy News TV, Joy FM Super Morning Show and Asempa FM Ekosiisen that Chief Justice Sophia Akuffo gave the National Secretariat of the Cathedral Judicial Permission to ignore the court processes filed by Lawyer Bright Akwetey and go ahead with construction of the Cathedral.

Similarly, allegations of the Gay-LGBTQI Advocate David Adjaye building the Cathedral for promotion of Gay Marriage ceremonies is yet to be denied.

The advocacy of the Cathedral’s architect, David Adjaye for Gay rights and the NPP National Chairman, Freddy Blay’s call for Gay Rights to be accepted has raised more eyebrows.

Freddie Worsemawu Blay attends Cabinet Meetings and is the leader of the governing party whose Advisor of Religious Affairs Rev. Asante (late) is credited by President Akufo-Addo as being the brain behind the Cathedral.

The late Rev. Asante had an office in Akufo-Addo’s office just like Dr. Paul Opoku-Mensah and several other Presidential Staffers associated with the Cathedral Project.

The allegation that the Gay-LGBTQI Community in Ghana and the United States of America is supporting the Cathedral through the opaque Fundraising has not been denied nor proven to be false.

President Akufo Addo’s handpicked choice of a Gay-LGBTQI advocate David Adjaye as Architect of the Cathedral was Sole Sourced and paid Millions upfront; can only imply directly supporting and indirectly funding Gay-LGBTQI advocacy in Ghana.

The delay of the Anti-LGBTQI Bill in Parliament in the same period and Billboards springing up around the same time cannot be coincidental…

Gabby Asare Ochere-Darko, a nephew of then candidate Akufo-Addo, in 2008 led a similar advocacy for Gay-LGBTQI conference to be hosted in Accra, Ghana.

Each of the Trustees must be given a public opportunity to state their position on LGBTQI, the Cathedral fundraising and the Funding of the Cathedral which has become the centre of the raging scandal.

The Trustees must speak now, as individuals, not as a group at the choreographed 4th July press conference, to be organised by the lying Cathedral Secretariat which has usurped their authority and acted illegally in concert with the office of the President which has doled out millions of taxpayers money without Parliamentary approval.

Each Trustee owes it to his congregation and himself to salvage the name, reputation and insulate themselves from any future prosecution flowing from the unfolding Cathedral Scandal.

There is a fundamental truth that;

The blood on the hands of others accrue to their accomplices by default;

This is the time for the decieved Trustees to walk away; knowing what they know today.

It will be too late after the 28th and 29th June, 2022 ARISE DEMONSTRATION for any of the Trustees to claim innocence…

Innocent Ghanaian citizens including journalists were assaulted by heavily armed men in Ghana Army uniforms, this was on national television yet the Clergy (including the Cathedral’s Trustees) who have spoken on nearly every issue  have kept radio silence…

Naa Adjorkor and Nii Nai Ako are dead from their injuries…

Many others including Citi TV|FM journalist Nii Ayikwei Okine were injured at Kpletso by the Military Landguards on 15th April, 2021;

The National Media Commission and Nii Ayikwei Okine’s own Media house, Citi TV|FM which had previously successfully petitioned the National Media Commission over a similar assault involving their journalist by National Security operatives this time declined to petition the National Media Commission who were Petitioned by others yet refused to act…

The crime of the journalists was going to cover La Citizens demanding the return of their ancestral Lands in accordance with the laws and Constitution of Ghana.

The Commander-in-Chief and Defence Minister must ensure that the Military High Command makes public the Report on its investigation into the Kpletso Shooting and Assault the Command promised in its 16th April, 2021 Press Release.

Nii Nai has been buried without a word from the President, the Defence Minister and the Military High Command…

Naa Adjorkor is about to be buried too…

Are Some Ghanaians less Ghanaian than others?

Those stealing State Lands in the name of the Military and God cannot walk free; whiles those demanding the return of their lands are maimed or killed.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

Sadly, some people think it is okay for compensation must be paid to those whose buildings were demolished for the Cathedral construction…

Strangely, some people think that State Funds must only be used in accordance with the laws and Constitution of Ghana but that State Acquired Lands can be used anyhow without regard to the Original Land Owners…

The Hypocrisy and Bigotry seems to be limited Accra Lands as same people have not spoken against E. I.  432 which was used to return 409acres of State Acquired Lands in Ashanti Region to the Golden Stool through the Asantehene in trust for the Subjects of the Stool.

Executive Instrument 432 laid the template for the orderly return of State Acquired Lands to the Original Land Owners and atonement of tenancy as well as payment of Ground Rent to the STOOL upon the return of State Lands to the Stool on behalf of the Stool Subjects.
