GOIL has honored 62 frontline staff comprising Dealers, Supervisors, Pump and Lube attendants at its 2019 Awards and Annual Get-together in Accra.
17 other staff who have also served the company between 10 and 25 years also received awards for their long and dedicated service to the company
GOIL Sebrepor station near Tema in the Greater Accra Region, was adjudged the overall National Best Dealer and the Best Lubricant Dealer in the Southern sector. The station also won the Best Go Café in the Tema Zone, whilst its Best Lube Bay attendant George Kofi Yevuyibor, was recognized in the Zone.
For her prize, the Dealer of the station, Georgina Gyabeng, will benefit from a 5-day sponsored trip abroad with paid hotel accommodation and US$2,500 spending money. She also received a plaque and a certificate of recognition and a citation.
The Best zonal dealer in the Southern zone was won by Aretha Baker Woode of the Burma Camp service station, The South-Eastern zone prize went to Samuel Lawson Owusu of Aburi Gyankama service station, whilst the Best dealer in the middle belt zone was received by George Boadu of Asonaba service station, Kumasi. In the Upper middle belt zone, the best dealer award was won by Jones Peprah of the Kintampo service station, while the Western zone best dealer went to Samuel Ato Mensah of Abease service station, Cape coast. The Northern zone best dealer was received by Rashid Kassim of Dungu service station.
Each of these Zonal best dealers received a 5-day sponsored trip abroad with paid hotel accommodation and US$1,000 spending money as their prizes
GOIL also rewarded the longest-serving Dealer, Mr. S.K. Hoenyedzi from the Guggisberg service station, Accra, for serving the company for 46 years.
The Board chairman of GOIL, Mr. Kwamena Bartels, charged GOIL staff to continue to carry the banner of the company by working harder to entrench the company’s leadership position.
The MD & Group CEO of GOIL, Mr. Kwame Osei Prempeh expressed gratitude to dealers, distributors, attendants, staff and all stakeholders contributing significantly to the company’s successes
In a goodwill message, the CEO of Association of Oil Marketing Companies, AOMC, Mr. Kwaku Agyeman-Duah, lauded the company for its local content initiatives and involvement in both the downstream and upstream business.
He also praised the contribution of GOIL, noting its excellent services in the provision of quality products and services in all the critical sectors such as Aviation, Bunkering, LPG, Lubricants and other fuels.
