Residents, traders, motorists, and business owners at Gomoa Akoti and Feteh say they now live in fear due to multiple robbery attacks on them.
These attacks the residents claim have led to some of the victims suffering gunshot wounds and loss of valuable property.
According to some drivers and traders who spoke to Rainbow Radio’s Nana Yaw Aasare, the robbers usually carry out their robbery attacks every week and most especially on market days.
”They will pounce on you and demand that you hand over to them your sales. If you refuse, they will assault you,” a driver narrated.
Another driver said: ”We are now living in fear. The robbers come here almost every week to rob us. The situation is worrying. We want the police to intervene before it escalates.”
A trader said: ”We are scared because we do not know when they will come back. Our lives, businesses and families are in danger. We want something done about this”.
