The Board and Management of 1st African Awards has advised all nominees and the general public of a change in date for the grand finale of the event ceremony originally scheduled for Saturday June 6, 2022.
On this notice all stakeholders have thus been informed that the new date for the grand finale is now Saturday June 11, 2022.
According to a realese issued on Wednesday and signed by the Head of Communication for the Awards, Solomon Gbafa, the change in date is “due to the traditional ban on drumming/noise-making activities.”
Subsequently, it said the dress code remains strictly African or Traditional Wear, and the official Time of the Event remain 7:00pm prompt.
“All of the planning and preparations for the major night are still in place, ensuring that the public has the finest experience possible with this scheme,” the release noted.
