On behalf of the Greater Accra Regional Women’s Wing of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), and on my own behalf, I wish to congratulate you, your Excellency John Dramani Mahama on your 61st Birthday, which falls today the November 29.
At 61, your achievements and legacies in academia, politics, governance and social life remained unblemished and worthy of emulation by dissenting Ghanaians and many other around the World.
We thank God Almighty for your life, JDM. The best decade of your life has been ushered in from today November 29. Ghana is blessed to have you as a son of its soil. Your humility, love for your country, your acquaintance with the downtrodden conquers all. Stride on boldly into your 61 years on Earth.
You are still a shining light during and after office as one of the Heads of State in Ghana and Africa in general who many wish you were on the seat of governance till date.
Your exemplary Leadership style to willingly concede power to the opposition in the interest of peace and democracy is worth celebrated.
In just within three years of leaving office, Ghanaians are yearning and crying for your return especially as your successor who won the 2016 presidential election on the altar of deceptive promises and vile propaganda against your administration has done no better since he took over from you on January 7, 2017.
The harvest of your electoral reforms for free, fair and credible electoral and democratic processes for which the New PatrioticParty (NPP) is the primary beneficiary of have been eroded and quickly replaced with inconclusive elections, political persecution and prosecution and unfair dismissal of heads of independent institutions made Ghanaians yearn for your immediate return in 2020.
For us, you are a quintessential leader in Ghana and your footprints in the circle of leadership will remained indelible.
Once again, the NDC Women in Greater Accra, wish you a happy 61st Birthday and may the Grace and Honour of God continue to bless you and your entire family.
