Havilah City of Prayer Donates To Juaboso Police
The items comprising 222.55 liters of fuel, were at the costs of GH¢1500.00
As part of its social responsibility to the society, Havilah City of Prayer Ministry International, headquarted at Juaboso in the Western North Region (WNR) has made a donation to the Juaboso District Police Command.

According to the Leader Founder and General Overseer of the Church Apostle Gershion Gbedemah (Pap Gee), besides its spiritual service to its followers, the church also owes co-operate and social responsibilities to the society. Subsequently, the church, though young (10 years) has been donation its widow’s might to the society for the past three years.
He indicated that these donations are made at the beginning of each year, after its 21days of fasting and prayers for the nation, leaders and authorities, and of course, its members. He pointed out that for this years’s there is after year’s annual fasting and prayers session, it downed on the church to make donation to the police which at the fore front of security in the area.
The police, during the 31st December watch night of 2021 provided security for all churches at Juaboso and its environs including Havilah.
Apostle Gershion (Pap Gee) indicated however that this donation does not mean that the church wants to curry any special favours from the police, but just to fulfill its social and co-operate responsibility to the society. And, as a spiritual church, all its attributes are Biblically and spiritually based, hence its donations done after the beginning of the years fasting and prayers sessions.
OUR TORCH IS ON THE POLICE THIS TIME
Presenting the donation Elder Agnes Bosompim, in her welcome address stated that Havilah, the name of the church, though new and the church young in the area (10years), it has been making presentations to institutions in town for the past three years. Antie Agieh, as she is popularly called indicated that this year Havilah’s torch light torched the police for the presentation. She pointed out that the name of the church in Biblical as pertained in Gen. 2:11
Junior Pastor (J.P) Francis Nti Nyamekye stated that Havilah had noted with concern the enormous task of policing, i.e, Peace Keeper in the area and the concomitant cost. Subsequently, the church has decided to provide fuel of 222.55 liter (1 drum) to aid the Police in their petrol duties. To this effect, the church had paid for the cost of the fuel – GH¢1500.00 from a nearby filling station for the use of the police
HAVILAH PULLS SURPRISE TO OVERWHELM POLICE
Receiving the donation, commander of the station, Superintendent (Supt.) Samuel A. Ntorsoh expressed surprise at the presentation, Supt. Ntorsoh pointed out that, that was the first time of hearing the name Havilah. He indicated that though he had received a letter concerning the donation three days earlier, he did not take into consideration its contents. This is because, Churches in the town had been making occasional donations to the police, but normally towards the upkeek of inmates at the station.
Subsequently, he expressed surprise at the donation, which he said far exceeded their usual supply. The commander pointed out that the huge district command has two sub-stations Bonsu-Nkwanta and Boinzan . And because of Galamsey activities, crime wave in the district had surpassed all other districts in the area. He mentioned that whereas a joining districts like, Bibiani, Wiawso, Adobokrom, Essam, Enchi and Bodi had I case to none case in crime wave, that of Juaboso exceeded 27, all because of the influx of all manner of persons-Niger, Mali, Burkina Faso, La Cote D’Ivoire, China and hardened Local, indigenous galamsers on drugs, crime wave there was overwhelming and needed swift action and attention.
POLICE CRIES FOR HELP
The Commander expressed regrets that the station with its large catchment area, had only two cars – a salon and pick-up cars. And because of the bad nature of roads there, it’s only the pickup that can penetrate some of these bad roads. He mentioned that these cares were obtained via the courtesy of the immediate past District Chief Executive (DCE) Martha Kwayie Manu. In this vein, extra and stronger cars, possibly4WDS will go a long way to help effective policing in the crime-prone District.
Supt. Ntorsoh, assured the church that the surprise fuel supply will be put to proper uses as sometimes, when the police receive distress call from distant places odd hours, they are compelled to use their personal pocket money for those operations “We can’t say that the place is for and far lack of fuel, we cannot respond to these distress calls, “ he lamented.
Sounding more of a Pastor them a police officer, Supt. Ntorsoh who indicated that from his long time policing at different places and times he had not witnessed a donation like this before mentioned that there are many church in the district and that, the act of this seemingly unknown church had really surprised him.
This, he said, will serve as a historic fact in the annals of his policing work. “Thanks be to God for today. In God’s work, some talk plenty others not plenty. Some big, others small. Your donation has come timely as the prophecy of a prophet or a doctor’s prescription and it will be put to the proper use, as it will go a long way to help! God should allow souls abound in your church! “Supt. Ntorsoh prayed.
AIDS JOIN THE FRAY
Two aids (Officers), Solomon Boatri and Emmanuel Anabzua, Station and crime officers respectively, who were at the presentation, joined the fray in the pastoral speech of their boss. “May your church increase in abundance. May Jesus Christ be your guard and guardian.
“We are grateful for your assistance. This is because, we are indeed suffering here at Juaboso!” Crime officer Anabgua claimed. On his part, station officer, Solomon Boatri remarked, “Thanks for your assistance. Our work has became hard here of late, as attested to by what is going on of late. May God bless you and your church.
MORE SURPRISE
Present to do the donation on behalf of Pap Gee and the church were; J.P Francis Nti Nyamekye, Elder George Baafi Adomakoh, Patrick Ahoin, Chairman of Church board, and Elder Antie Agnes, J.P Nyamekye, hinted later that Havilah has always pulled a surprise on its beneficiaries. He indicated that in the first supply to the Islamic Primary School “C” which comprised all basic school needs such as exercise books, reading books, pencils, crayons, rulers, chalk and many more, school authorities expressed surprise at the donation since it was the first ever that such a donation had come their way.
The J.P stated that in their second donation to the palace, which comprised assorted items ranging from water through drinks to essential commodities, Nana Ehwie Armah II, Chief of Juaboso and his elders also expressed shock and surprise at the presentation, which to them was the first of its kind.
