Havillah City makes strides in Sunday Service

Having operated as a prayer group for over eight years, Havillah City of Prayer International Ministry, headquartered at Juaboso in the Western North Region has now gone Sunday, holding Sunday morning Services.

Hitherto, the prayer group held its prayer sessions on Friday and Sunday nights where it wrecked wonderful miracles and prophecies.

Briefing ghananewsonline.com.gh on what informed the prayer ministry to now venture into Sunday morning services, Rev. Gershon Gbedemah, Founder, Leader, and General Overseer of the Havillah City of Prayer International Ministry averred that it was not his intension to turn the prayer ministry into a full-blown church on Sunday morning. That is why for all these years he was doing only night services. This is because all who attended those evening services had their mother churches.

Pressure

However, pressure from members and his leaders compelled him to buy the idea after consulting God on the issue “The Voice of the people they say is the voice of God” He chipped in. According to him, even after two years of operation as a prayer group, he refused to take collections until the same pressure from his leaders compelled him to do so.

He was however quick to point out that the church, even when as a prayer group had fully been registered as such, both locally and internationally.

He subsequently urged members not to shiver or get deceived by anyone, stressing that the new church is ready to take over in a number of issues that had been hidden from Christendom in the area.

Rev. Gershon of Havillah City observed that though members of the hitherto prayer group had their mother churches, any time they encountered any problems they kept calling him for assistance, which he readily offered. All these are what had endured him to the hearts of such people.

Stealing Members of Other Churches?

Rev. Gershon could not phantom accusations leveled against him by other church leaders there that he was stealing their members, wondering the means by which he could steal people “after all, I am not forcing them; they came on their own accord,”  he stated.

The young prophet, whose prophecies hardly fail, as a result of which people were chasing him, could not understand why church leaders there could not see any wrong with one member of a certain denomination moving to another, but in his case, people accused him of stealing church members! He pointed out that his persecution hand gone on so much that some pastors hand taken it upon themselves moving from church to church warning new pastors not to invite him to their service since he would steal their members.

Rev. Gershon pointed out that leadership is about the relationship with the people, and that it was this feat of his that had attracted him to the people.

Main aim not defeated

He noted that the main aim of the prayer ministry had not been defeated. He maintained that even though the prayer ministry was meant to be an auxiliary one, it held services on Sunday evenings. So now that the people themselves are calling for the morning sessions, then it’s a matter of “Praise God” He noted that though it was not going to be easy, with determination they will surely overcome

4 successful services

According to the Reverend, Havillah City handheld four successful Sunday morning services with numbers swelling from service to service. He stated that though some members will come and go, the momentum, fire, prophecy, Ministration, and all other wonders and miracles performed during the night session will be maintained. He was quick to point out that since the future of every institution depended upon youth, who abound the church, it had a great future. Also, four naming ceremonies have taken place in these services

Meanwhile, all protocols on covid-19 such as the washing of hands, sanitizing, wearing of nose masks, and social distancing are dully being observed during these services of Havillah City.
