Hawa Koomson Set to Contest National Women’s Organizer Position

Following her defeat after serving as Member of Parliament for Awutu-Senya East for three terms until 2024, Hawa Koomson is set to contest for the position of National Women’s Organizer for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Hawa Koomson, who also served as the Minister for Fisheries and Aquaculture Development from 2021 to 2024, has been a dedicated member of her party for decades.

Flyers announcing her intention to contest for the National Women’s Organizer position have gone viral on social media, among other platforms.

The position is currently held by Kate Gyamfua, who has served two terms in the role.
