Hey! Is President AKUFO-ADDO attempting to control the use of Social Media among Military Personnel? – Owula Mangortey asks

I am a Citizen.

I am a Whistleblower with a known face and address.

I rise to ask my respected Retired and Tired President Billy Akufo-Addo whether it makes sense to control the use of Social Media in the Ghana Armed Forces.

President Akufo-Addo is the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, and he will need to come to grips with the social, command and control and discipline changes happening in the Military in particular, and the Security Services as a whole, since 7th January, 2017.

As a Patriot and Lover of my country’s Military and Security Agencies, I have invested time, energy and resources to bring to the attention of the Commander-in-Chief, the Military High Command, and all Citizens some of the signs and symptoms of schisms in the Ghana Armed Forces.

However, I have avoided revealing some very, very sensitive information that could compromise Military and National Security.

It is because I have great respect for the professional men and women serving my country with all honesty at all levels in the Military and other Security Services.

Is it not surprising to note that the GAF Commander-in-Chief
has lost his way in broad daylight by authorizing the release of a directive from the Ghana Armed Forces Heaquarters, ARMY/6286/A(COORD) of 6th February, 2020, titled ABUSE OF SOCIAL MEDIA?

Is it the will and decision of President Akufo-Addo that henceforth all GAF personnel are to strictly adhere to the following instructions?:

(a). Do not share any internal factual internal information except that which has been permitted by Command.

(b). Do not engage in discussions about political, military and security issues on any social media platform.

(c). Do not post any comments or images of any sensitive security related matters.

(d). Do not post or share any comments or images that might be perceived as offensive and against GAF directives/instructions, rules, regulations, policies and guidelines.

(e). Do not post or share photos or videos of military functions without express advance permission of GHQ (PR).

(f). Do not post information that is legal, financial, administrative and operational in nature except with the explicit approval of Command.

(g). Do not post anything on the death of or serious security incident involving GAF personnel except authorised by by GHQ (PR).

Will President Akufo-Addo, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces explain his directives to his soldiers on his desire to control THE USE OF SOCIAL MEDIA AMONG MILITARY PERSONNEL?

Are President Akufo-Addo and the Military High Command genuinely interested to know how sensitive Military and Security information are availed to OWULA MANGORTEY of the agbelima, gari and tapioca producing village of Odumase-Dodowa?

President Akufo-Addo is ashamed to take his phone to find out because he is haunted by his capricious abuse of state power against Alfred Commietey Ogbarmey on 9th May, 2017 at the Ghana National Gas Company.

For the attention of all lovers of Ghana’s DEMOCRACY,
I attach the directive to our Military Personnel, of the will of President Akufo-Addo, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ghana Armed Forces, to control the use of Social Media among soldiers.

I Shall Retunr (sic).
