Starbucks has upped the deliciousness of its hot offering yet another notch with two brand new indulgent ‘limited time’ handcrafted winter beverages, now available in all Starbucks stores.

The Caramelised Almond Macchiato – steamed milk with caramelised almond syrup, topped with Blonde espresso shots and finished with the Starbucks crosshatch of caramel drizzle – and the Double Chocolatey Macchiato – steamed milk and chocolate mixture of white and dark chocolate, topped with Blonde espresso shots and finished with a chocolate crosshatch – are already adding warmth and a touch of sweetness to the Starbucks experience.

While sit-down meals in restaurants are lockdown-restricted, Starbucks is encouraging customers to ‘Be My Guest’ and ‘Grab n Go’ their favourite or soon-to-be-new-favourite food and beverage items from their friendly neighbourhood Starbucks store.

Both new beverages pair well with a range of dishes on the food menu. Special pairings included the mature cheddar cheese and chutney croissant or the freshly baked almond triangle paired with the Double Chocolatey Macchiato; the three cheese toastie or carrot cake gateaux paired with the Iced Caramelised Almond Macchiato; and the roast beef wrap paired with the Caramelised Almond Macchiato.

The ‘something for everyone’ food menu has a comprehensive selection of breakfast items that includes croissants, bagels, granola and yoghurt pots, French toast, and muffins; lunch dishes that include rolls, vegetarian dishes, sandwiches, wraps, and snack pots; as well as a not-to-be-skipped decadent sweet selection that includes cakes, macarons, cheesecake, cupcakes, mousse, cookies, and more. Starbucks prides itself on ensuring that all dishes on the menu are made with high quality, simple ingredients, “so all the goodness you taste is real food, simply delicious.”

Among the many favourite-favourites on the Starbucks menu is the avocado and haloumi English muffin served with a tomato chutney and paired with brewed coffee, Americano, cappuccino, or iced shaken green or black tea for breakfast or lunch; and for a mid-afternoon treat, the baked salted caramel cheesecake with a crunchy chocolate base, paired with Teavana hot teas, brewed coffee, cappuccino, or cold brewed coffee.

For a premium Starbucks experience, the four Starbucks Reserve stores located at Rosebank and Melrose Arch in Johannesburg, Menlyn Maine in Pretoria, and Florida Road in Durban, are delivering seldom-experienced tastes, fascinating coffee stories, intricate preparation methods, and memorable moments.

Starbucks Reserve stores have exclusive menus that give coffee aficionados the opportunity to taste and enjoy extremely rare, small-lot coffees, which are only available on menus for brief three-month or shorter seasons because of limited quantities.
