Unidentified individuals have set fire to the residence of a local fetish priest accused of fatally shooting three people in Barniekrom, located in the Ahafo Ano South West District of Ghana’s Ashanti Region.
The shooting, allegedly carried out by Osman Majeed on Tuesday, left three individuals dead, whom he claimed had attacked him. Following the incident, Majeed reportedly fled and remains at large.

“As per information relayed by the chief, Komfo Osman’s residence was burned yesterday morning. Upon verifying the situation, one of Osman’s buildings was found charred. We have promptly notified the police, and while the community is stable, we urge security services to maintain vigilance over Barniekrom,” Asare told Channel One News.
Meanwhile, Ghanaian police have detained one individual suspected to be an associate of the fugitive Osman Majeed.
