How John Boadu benefitted financially from Serwaa Broni’s affairs with President Akufo-Addo

 

The General Secretary of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Buadu’s name has popped up in the exposé of Canada-based Ghanaian nurse Evelyn Serwaa-Broni as an intermediary who received a monetary compensation from President Nana Akufo-Addo for her, but allegedly took a chunk of the money as his reward for the role.

She failed to mention the amount paid to her and what she eventually got after the intermediaries deducted their commissions.

It’s unclear if the failure to settle the rest of the compensation is what has angered Serwaa-Broni to open up to the amorous affairs soiling image of the Presidency. The issue first emerged last year, and the government has remained tight-lipped.

From the Presidency to the Ministry of Information to the Asylum Down Headquarters of the NPP, no word has been heard on the matter.

In an exclusive interview with held with Kevin Taylor,on Sunday, April 17, 2022 on the Loud Silence TV on the “With All Due Respect” show, and talked about how she became a mistress of the President when they first met at an eatery at East Legon called Coffee Lounge way ahead of Mr. Akufo-Addo becoming president.

Serwaa Broni, who has been speaking on a post traumatic illness she suffered following a staged armed robbery attack on her by operatives of National Security, revealed that Mr. Boadu was not the only intermediary who took part of the money as a percentage for his role in ensuring that the issue does not come out ahead of the 2020 General Elections.

This is the first time that Evelyn has mentioned the NPP General Secretary’s name in connection with her amorous affairs with President Akufo-Addo and revealing that indeed, a part payment was made to compensate her.

In previous revelations about her affair, she mentioned Chief of Staff, Akosua Frema Osei-Opare, the President’s junior brother, Edward “Bumpty” Akufo-Addo, Agric Minister, Dr. Owusu Afriyie-Akoto, the Assin Central NPP MP, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.

She dropped an additional names including the ex-CID boss Maame Tiwaa Addo Danquah who is currently at the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) as the Director, ex-Director of Operations at the National Security Secretariat, Col Michael Opoku currently Brigadier General Opoku, a personal physician of President Akufo-Addo, Dr. Gordon Offei-Larbi, one Lawyer Wagus, one of President Akufo-Addo’s daughters Dokua, among others as having tried to intervene.

But she revealed in the interview that there are regrets in the corridors of power that she was not killed by the National Security assailants who staged the armed robbery attack on her.

She claimed she has been told that the system didn’t envisage Hopeson Adorye of the NPP and a former National Security operative at the Kotoka International Airport, to “fuck up” the operation, they would have killed her instead of allowing her to be alive and be embarrassing the President.

She also dropped the name of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, as having tried to intervene in the matter despite his limited knowledge of events.

But John Buadu, Serwaa Broni suggested played very active roles between her and President Akufo-Addo including collecting the compensation package from him for her, after taking his cut which she labelled as “percentage”.

A couple of messages exchanged between the former – the President and Serwaa Broni – lovebirds has the General Secretary’s name showing up as having indeed been active in the matter which the NPP had held as going to affect their 2020 electoral fortunes, hence had to cover up.

According to Serwaa Broni, when part of the compensation was paid, it was given to Mr. Buadu who also gave it to the other intermediary, they took their commissions before the undisclosed amount got to her.

The NPP General Secretary, she said, has till date been cracking jokes with the President over their affair.

She revealed that she has several nude pictures and videos of the President, text messages, audiotapes as well as documents on the compensation which she has made available to the Canadian authorities, her lawyers in Canada and others including NGOs that provide service to traumatized peoples.

By way of evidence, she had one of the audiotapes played on the show and showed text messages detailing several conversations she has had with the President towards assuaging her pain.

In one of the text messages dated Saturday, November 7, 2020, a month to 2020 General Elections, President Akufo-Addo in reference to the NPP General Secretary, John Buadu wrote to Serwaa Broni saying “Hello Evelyn, you are still my babe, please keep cool you and your girlfriend will be fully sorted out after the elections. John informed me you had agreed to wait so I didn’t understand the mails of request. I would love to call you but I have noticed my calls frustrates you. Its busy times. Be patient a little more. Thank you”.

In one of the messages from Serwaa to President she wrote in reference to staged armed robbery on him and the involvement of the Hopeson Adorye and the President saying “and suggested a compensation; to cool me plus have the other person stay quiet as she now knew you and hopeson were behind it. Days after, you called your way to that upper East or upper West tour and I asked you never to call me again, if anything I will message you….. You’ve given my contact to so many people and I don’t appreciate that. Now you forward my messages to JB (John Buadu) or discuss with him that am asking for the balance, why not!! So why don’t you do the needful as promised and leave me alone and vise versa. Please don’t call me.

Another message from her to President Akufo-Addo read “messaging u was not cool. I will not message u again nor contact you again anyway, I am an ordinary person and must keep friendships with ordinary people so I avoid unnecessary surprises”.

To the above, the President replied “Evelyn yes my security team advised I distant myself from you they were also interested in your devices however I didn’t order the attack. Am calling you…”

There was yet another message from Serwaa Broni dated Saturday, November 2, 2019 timed 12:58 which “When you called me the morning of Friday November 1st in response to my text message, you could not answer to why your security head will tell me his female friend that I am under their radial and constant watch since July. Also your only excuse for hopeson kaken a key card to enter my hotel room 36 mins after my staged robbery is because he said he was looking for me, well he didn’t known that I had being robbed, did he contact me by phone? Did he forget to tell me he had…in my room?, he clearly to …in the presence…..
