How Kalsoume Sinare rose to fame after playing the lead character in Ghanaian horror film “Babina”

Kalsoume Sinare was born on April 27, 1967 in Ghana, West Africa. She is the first child of nine children. She attended Accra, High School, after which she started her entertainment career as a model. She is the sister of Ghanaian politician and former Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Said Sinare.
Kalsoume Sinare made her acting debut in the stage production “Theater Mirrors”. Then she joined the Ghanaian movie industry professionally in 1993 and acted in her first movie titled “Out Of Sight”.
In 2000, she rose to fame after playing the lead character of Babina in the Ghanaian religiously-themed horror film “Babina”, starring alongside Emmanuel Armah, Berky Perkins, Helen Omaboe, amongst others.
In 2007, she portrayed Theo Agnes in the Ghanaian drama movie “Princess Tyra”, directed by Frank Rajah Arase and starring Jackie Appiah, Van Vicker, Yvonne Nelson, Oge Okoye, Kofi Arjorlolo.

She is known for Babina (2000), Princess Tyra (2007), Trinity (2010), Sala (2017).
In 1994, Kalsoume Sinare got married to a Ghanaian international footballer, Anthony Baffoe and the union is blessed with three children; Adam Boukeem Baffoe, Shaquille Baffoe and Keisheira Baffoe. Both she and her husband are Muslims.
