How singer Tiwa Savage danced with Suicide

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has revealed that she attempted to kill herself twice early on in her life.

Tiwa Savage in a Black Box interview with media personality, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, on Monday, said the incident happened while she was studying in London.

The “Yes I do’ singer stated that she was bullied in London when she moved to stay with her mum as early as age 10, to the extent that she had to use Police escort to be able to move about freely.

She stated that her strong Nigerian accent, food, among others were mocked by her classmates.

“It was terrible. It was so bad that I literally tried to kill myself two times. I was really depressed.”

“I was really bullied; they will flush my head down the toilet during lunch break,” she stated.

She also stated that this bullying went on for as long as three to four years.
