Celebrated actress Nadia Buari has disputed claims she’s been on a hiatus in her career after her marriage and childbirth.

Speaking in an interview on 3FM Drive, October 23, the actress explained that she’s been producing movies and working as usual, refusing fans’ perception that she’s been on a long break.

According to her, people are rather not checking out on her works and only assuming. Nadia further mentioned some of her recent works, stating that she has recently released a movie on Netflix.

“Everybody says I went on a long break; I never really went on a long break. I think if you are a huge fan of me, you probably would have seen that I never went.

“I feel like people never really looked out for my movies because I have been working, I actually have a movie which was premiered on October 18 still showing at the Silverbird Cinemas . It’s a movie about cancer.

“I have a movie on Netflix called ‘Merry Men’ and before the cancer movie there was a movie that was premiered, I was the female lead. I have other projects and other movies that are on probably YouTube and other streaming platforms,” she stated.

Nadia Buari also mentioned her upcoming movie, ‘Forever in a Night’, produced by John N. Okwugo and directed by her brother, Jameel Buari. The movie will premiere on November 9, 2024, at the Accra Mall and West Hills Mall in Accra.

Apart from Nadia Buari, the movie also stars Godwin Namboh, Samera Buari, Queenstar Anaafi, and Fred Sarpong.

The film explores the life of a woman who seems to have it all, only to have her world shattered in a single night.
