Ghanaians don’t need political tutorials and lectures to reject President Akufo-Addo and his NPP during the 2020 election. The abysmal performance of the President and his administration, the massive corruption, unprecedented nepotism and arrogance have already made Ghanaians grow weary of him, his administration and the ruling party.
Nearly two years of leading the country, President Akufo-Addo and his government have made life unbearable for the people. This is not the Ghana we enjoyed under John Mahama. Before the 2012 and 2016 elections people close to the candidate advised Ghanaians not to hard the destiny of this great nation into the hands of their friend. Ghanaians are hungry, Ghanaians are being terrorized in their own country, Ghanaians are being sacked from public institutions, businesses are collapsing. All they said about then candidate Akufo-Addo are coming to pass.
Majority of those who voted for him never knew him well. He is vindictive and apart from his bullying nature, he does not have what it takes to run Ghana. He is highly intolerant and can’t compare him the John Mahama. Mahama accepted criticisms and accommodated his critics. He didn’t victimize his political opponents and did not harass Ghanaians who expressed reservations about his administration.
President Akufo-Addo is a very big disappointment in every aspect whether it is in the aspect of national unity, fairness, the economy and justice to all or even in efficient administration.
Mr John Mahama handed a Ghana
Rated number one in West Africa in terms of electricity supply and expansion
The best business environment in West Africa
The cedi was rated the second most powerful currency in West Africa
Number one in terms of supply of potable water
Rated number one in West Africa in terms of infrastructure development
Apart from these landmark achievements, the administration embarked on massive infrastructure development which helped reduce substantially, the country’s infrastructure development. The administration invested heavily in the oil and gas industries culminating in world bank’s projection that the economy will grow by 8+ percent between 2017 and 2018.
Ghana losing these positions because of the new administration’s abysmal performance and wastage. Ghanaians are suffocating under this administration, businesses are collapsing, importers are suffocating. As if that is not enough, the President and his appointees are aggressively emptying the national purse through their corrupt practices. He has appointed his cousins, children, in-laws and cronies to head all the juicy state agencies and ministries. The President us running Ghana as if it is part of the properties he inherited from his parents.
Ghanaians are not ready to test the failed leader in 2020, they don’t have patience bad know-how to undertake research on a leader who has proven beyond doubt that he is thoroughly incompetent. The President is already on his way out and no clandestine machinations can help him come 2020. Nigerians have already started showing t65ehe way with the massive defections of senators, governors and legislators of the ruling party to the opposition PDP.
