Kumawood actress turned musician, Emelia Brobbey, says she will not allow negative criticisms to deter her from singing.

Emelia Brobbey went viral on social media after releasing a single, ‘Fame Kɔ’.

The song was highly criticized by sections of the public, with some urging her to concentrate on acting.

But in an interview on a Kumasi-based radio station, Emelia said she would not allow those comments to distract her.

“So I sang Emelia Brobbey’s voice, that’s what I did. I did me. I sang my voice. If Ghanaians are not happy and they think it’s noise I’ll go do the homework and bring it.”

“In most of the comments, what I read is the voice. So, I know that they are criticizing me so that I work on the voice,” she said

She, however, thanked a section of the public who praised her work, saying she was impressed with those fans and their dedication in defending her against the trolls.
