I’m still in recovery and not compulsory to attend Claude’s funeral – KK Fosu
The artiste together with Bless has been criticised by some bloggers for failing to appear at John Claude’s funeral held on Friday, July 19 to commiserate with the family when they were all involved in the accident.
Legendary Ghanaian musician, KK Fosu has responded to criticisms for his absence at blogger John Claude’s funeral who passed on during their accident on May 25.
The artiste together with Bless has been criticised by some bloggers for failing to appear at John Claude’s funeral held on Friday, July 19 to commiserate with the family when they were all involved in the accident.
Some friends of John Claude Tamakloe including Eric Toscar and George Britton, took to social media to call out the two musicians.
Responding to the criticisms in an interview on Hitz FM, KK Fosu clarified that he together with Bless are still recovering from the accident and receiving treatment and not adviceable to attend the funeral.
He refuted rumours about personally knowing the deceased. KK Fosu stated that he only met John Claude on the day the accident occurred while they were on their way to an event.
“I didn’t know about the funeral. None of the family members even called us. I’m also still recovering; Bless is also recovering so its not by force for us to go to the funeral.
“I didn’t kill Claude but its just nice that we will unite for this but if you are annoyed with me I don’t know what will happen to me when I come there so I won’t allow any of my team to go,” he said on Monday, July 22.
He continued: “Claude never blocked for KK Fosu. He is not part of my team and I don’t know him for anywhere. I got to know not more than three hours and this unfortunate incident happen.”
The accident occurred on Saturday, May 25, 2024, on the Accra-Apam Highway road when KK Fosu, K Bless, Claude and others were going for a wedding event.
John Claude Tamakloe was laid to rest at Tema Community 2 on July 19, 2024.
