Interest in creative arts key in early childhood dev’t – Ghana’s First Lady

The First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo –Addo, has emphasized the need for deepened interest and engagement in the creative arts at the early childhood level.

She said the move will open up accessibility to the diverse forms of the sector and build up formative interests towards professional careers in the kids.

According to her, increased engagement in the creative arts on the part of these kids could create opportunities for them and also generate income and revenue for the country.

She made this known when pupils from the SOS village and Demonstration School for the Deaf, Akropong called on her today to present paintings they have made for her on this festive season.

The beautiful paintings and other artworks, the First lady disclosed will be given to the donors of the Rebecca Foundation during this festive season to be publicly displayed at their premises.

The First Lady also took the opportunity to wish all children the best this yuletide and a happy new year.
