Interior Minister Muntaka Mubarak Pays Working Visit to Police Headquarters

The Minister for the Interior, Honourable Alhaji Mohamed-Mubarak Muntaka (MP), today paid a working visit to the Ghana Police Headquarters in Accra. This marks his first official visit since assuming office, aimed at engaging with the leadership of the Service, Regional Commanders, senior officers, and personnel stationed at the Headquarters.

During his address, the Minister, on behalf of the President, commended the Ghana Police Service for its dedication to protecting citizens and maintaining national security, particularly during the recent election period. He reiterated the government’s unwavering support for the Service in its efforts to uphold law and order, safeguard lives and property, and ensure the safety of all Ghanaians.

To mark the occasion, an all-female Guard of Honour was mounted in the Minister’s honour. As part of his visit, he toured key facilities, including the GH Police TV studios, the newly established Police Shop, and the Surveillance Centre.
