International Precious Metals Bullion (IPMB) has commissioned a water project in Kyebi Afiesa to improve the livelihoods of those in the community affected by illegal mining activities.

During the launch ceremony on Saturday, August 24, IPMB’s founder, Mr. John Vakis, emphasized the importance of access to clean water, stating, “Water is life, and it’s essential for a better source of livelihood.”

Ohene Dankwa Agyeman Duah, Director of IPMB Africa and Ground Operations, also spoke about the vital need for clean water, highlighting its transformative impact on the community’s quality of life. “Access to good, clean water is essential for enhancing the lives of our people,” he said.

The chief of Kyebi Afiesa, Otafregya Agyeman Kumaning II, expressed his gratitude for IPMB’s efforts and encouraged other international organizations to provide similar support. “We urge other bodies to bring social relief and interventions to alleviate the challenges faced by our community,” he said.

The event was attended by several notable figures, including Osagyefo Ampem Anye Amoampong III, Omanhene of the Wenchi Traditional Area in the Bono Region, along with other distinguished guests.
