Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, believes that the win over rivals Accra Hearts of Oak will propel his team to a strong finish to the season.

The Porcupine Warriors defeated the Phobians 2-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, on Sunday afternoon.

The victory takes Kotoko to 9th position, and will still look to finish on a high with three games left to the end of the season.

Speaking after the game, Dr. Ogum expressed confidence that his team will be more motivated to win the rest of their matches in their quest to have a top-four finish.

“I would like to end the season on a very good note. There is no motivation than this. Beating Hearts of Oak of all teams is enough motivation for the players to know that the three games left, they need to work harder than they have worked today so that we position ourselves very well on the league log,” he said.
