I’ve Been Ghana’s Most Effective Vice President Since Independence – Bawumia
Dr Bawumia stressed that the upcoming 2024 election is a pivotal choice between progress and regression, underscoring his credentials as a forward-thinking leader.
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has proclaimed himself the most influential vice president Ghana has had since independence.
At the unveiling ceremony of his running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh (NAPO), in Kumasi, Dr Bawumia highlighted his exceptional performance as vice president, acknowledged even by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Drawing a contrast with the NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama, Dr Bawumia pointed out that while Mahama faced challenges during his vice presidency, he demonstrated remarkable leadership and effectiveness in his tenure.
Dr Bawumia stressed that the upcoming 2024 election is a pivotal choice between progress and regression, underscoring his credentials as a forward-thinking leader.
“The choice before us is between the future and the past. John Mahama had served as president before and faced difficulties. I have served as vice president, and by all accounts, I have been the most effective in Ghana’s history. Even the NDC acknowledges this fact. No vice president has been as hard-working and effective as me since independence. Therefore, the 2024 election is about moving forward or backwards,” Dr Bawumia asserted.
