Joe Sackey writes: A Lame Argument Championed By The NDC – The Propaganda Machinery
Lastly, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia stands tall seeking to become the next President of Ghana per the vision delivered in his speech on February, 7 2024 and ready and willing to forcefully implement but what can be said about John Dramani Mahama is to take Ghanaians for granted for the second time and amass wealth without any practical solution to solving Ghana’s problems.
I have been quite following the arguments and banter on the platform for the previous six days. I must say that, it is very healthy to express one’s opinion and sentiment on an issue in this our political dispensation but it is important to establish the facts.
Firstly, if you want to compare and contrast the records of John Dramani Mahama while serving as Vice President and Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as Vice President, John Dramani Mahama will fall flat. There is nothing significant to show expect scandal and corruption allegations. We cannot forget the Airbus Scandal, Ford Expedition juxtaposing it with the digitalisation system of every sector of the economy. Eg. Mobile Money Interoperability, Digital Address System, etc. It is petty and disingenuous for one to suggest that, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is instrumental in Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s government in the implementation of some programmes and policies therefore he should receive public censure.
Secondly, John Dramani Mahama in his four and half years as President could not introduce a single policy rather Ghanaians were slapped with nuisance taxes, cancellation of allowances (Nurses & Teachers) and to make matters worse, decided to create, loot and share through the infamous judgement debts, inflating contract sums, Bus Branding Scandal, Gyeeda Scandal, Sada Scandal among others.
