Veep Gives to Chief Imam
The vice president, Dr. Alhaji Muhamadu Bawumia, through the District Chief Executive (DCE) of Juaboso, Martha Kwayie Manu, has presented to the District Chief Imam of Juaboso, Alhaji Iddrisu Mohammed a 4X4 Nissan Rogue SLAWD.
At the colorful ceremony at Juaboso on Friday, October 4, 2019, the DCE pointed out that during his visit to Juaboso recently the Muslim community told the Veep that the Chief Imam did not have a bicycle let alone a motor bike or car. Therefore it was among their request that veep should supply him one.
The DCE stated that following the Veep’s favourable answer to their request, she made a follow up and just last week the request for the chief Imam was granted and that was why she had come to present it to him.
The Chief Imam noted that though it was the first of its kind in the district. He pointed out that while not dabbing in politics, it was worth expressing his gratitude to the Vice Pee through the DCE. He Subsequently prayed for success for the president and his veep, the DCE and their administration, stressing that if they succeeded in office, more of such gesture should be shown them.
Alhaji Mohammed also thanked and blessed all who in diverse ways helped to have his request made. Also he prayed and blessed all who after the donation will see to the smooth running of the vehicle.
The presentation, which saw a slight down pour, which was described as showers of blessing was witnessed by elders of the Muslims community throughout the District including visiting Mallam Alhaji Abdul Rashid, who gifted children around with various sums of money to grace the occasion. Also present was Abdul Karim, who acted as liaison between the DCE, and her entourage and the Muslim community.

According to him he traveled all the way from Tamale to witness this programme. This is because the Chief Imam is his brother, and also this is the first in history that a government official or government itself was fulfilling such a promise. He indicated that previous promises were made but never fulfilled. Alhaji Rashid maintained that it was this ustercal that had attracted Muslims all over to witness the programme
