The church also made a donation of an undisclosed amount to the group, people with disability. This was after the church’s 21 days of fasting and prayers session
Havilah City of Prayers International Ministry at Juaboso in the Western North Region, last Sunday, January 29, 2023 feted a group of physically challenged persons in the Juaboso township and its environs. The church also made a donation of an undisclosed amount to the group, people with disability. This was after the church’s 21 days of fasting and prayers session.
THIS HAS BEEN A YEARLY AFFAIR
Head Pastor of the Church, Apostle Gershion Gbedemah, whose exploits have won him the name Pap Gee by his members, explained that in the first month, i.e January the church under goes a 21 days of fasting and prayer session. And at the end of it they make a diner for church members and the general public. Also they make donation to selected institutions. This, he said had been done for four years running.
Pap Gee indicated that, in the first year, they made donation of assorted items-books, exercise books, pens and pencils to some four schools in the Juaboso District. The following year, the church made donation to the chief of the town and his elders.
Last year too they made donation to the Juaboso Police. He disclosed that this year it touched his heart to fraternize with the physically-changed group to solidalise with them and to assure them that all is not lost for them.
GOD NEEDS YOU
Pap Gee told the group that God needs them no matter their situation. He indicated that after one’s death, no matter his situation, they will be restored whole once more. He was however quick to admonish them to take worship of God seriously. This is because after all this predicaments and one does go to heaven, it will be a sad thing.
He pointed out that their predicaments do not emanate their sins as the people of Isreal contemplated of old as pertained in the blind man issue where Jesus disciples asked him if his blindness emanated from his father’s or mother’s sins or his own sins. But Jesus answered them that it was not from any of their sins. But that the works of God will manifest, and there after healed him.
The Apostle maintained some of these maladies could be purely accidental so they should cheer up. He later led the church to pray profusely for the 20 member group which comprised both men and women with various deformatives.
Receiving the presentation, Mr. Kofi Okyere, Federation Chairman for the group expressed shock at the Church’s gesture saying that this was the first of its kind in the many year’s the existence of the Group. He subsequently poured profound gratitude to the Apostle, Pastors, Church Elders and the entire congregation. His position was corroborated by Mr. John Awuah programme president of Juaboso. Pap Gee Charged church member to assist in church programmes because he has a mission and vision for the tremendous transformation of the church.
The diner was greeted with pomp and prgentry, as there was much to eat and drink, with the church choir rendering medious funes at the background thus sending people dancing to limping levels, thus eating deep into the night.
