Just In: Otumfour’s Asampohene stabbed to death on Ejura Road

Nana Fudour, the Otumfour Asampohene, who is also the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of X5 pub and the owner of Sikka FM in Kumasi has been stabbed to death on Sunday evening by unknown assailants. The incident happened at Ejura in the Ejura Sekyere-Dumase Municipal Assembly
Details are sketchy but he he was reportedly stabbed whilst travelling to Ejura on the Nkoranza road on Sunday August 18, 2019.

According to our information, Police received information that a vehicle had been involved in an accident on the road, however, upon reaching the scene they they realised the victim, who was later identified as Nana Fodour was rather stabbed severally in the chest.

The attackers reportedly also attempted to set the vehicle ablaze.

(KATH) in Kumasi.

Police say they have initiated investigations into the incident but their initial suspicion is that it is chieftaincy related.

He was a direct relative of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

As the Asamponhene of Kumasi, his role was to lead war for the Asantehene and moves ahead of the retinue of the Asantehene.
