The town of Karaga in the North-Eastern part of the Northern Region erupted with joy and celebration in the afternoon of Thursday when the convoy of John Dramani Mahama entered the town.

Mr. Mahama, who is the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was in Karaga together with leading members of the NDC to participate in the funeral rites of the late Karaga-Naa Adam.
In a real show of support and appreciation, the youth, women and the elderly, run from various corners of the town to herald and welcome the former President.
