The Korea Importers Association has expressed skepticism regarding promises made by Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, concerning tax reforms at Ghana’s ports.

Speaking at the NPP’s manifesto launch in Takoradi, Dr. Bawumia pledged to harmonize port charges with those of regional competitors, such as Togo, with the aim of making them either equal or lower, in an effort to strengthen businesses, boost economic growth, and create jobs.
