Kotoko Secure Services of Emmanuel Antwi, 2 Foreigners

The Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have confirmed the signing of three new players following the relief of over 20 players at the end of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.

They are midfielder Emmanuel Antwi, Sudanese striker AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub and Arabian left-back Esmat Hassabalbagi.

Antwi joins the Porcupines on a free transfer from relegated Accra Great Olympics on a three–year deal, the club said in a press statement.

“The 24-year-old midfielder has committed to a three-year contract with the Porcupines, following a successful medical examination in Kumasi.”

In his last two seasons with the Oly Dade, the midfielder managed to net six goals and deliver five assists in 26 appearances.

“I am thrilled to be here as it has been a childhood dream of mine to play for Kotoko. I am excited to wear the jersey and look forward to contributing to the team. Knowing some of the current players will help me settle in quickly and focus on the task ahead.”

Kotoko also confirmed the signing of two foreigners on loan from Hay Alwady in Sudan and Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia in separate Facebook posts earlier this week.

“The newest addition to the PORCUPINE family: AbdoelKarem AbdoelRahman Yoouef Yagoub. The Hay Alwady of Sudan striker joins us on a year contract with a club option of a permanent deal.”

“We are delighted to announce the signing of left-back, Esmat Hassabalbagi, from Al Hilal on a year-long deal with a club option of a permanent contract.”
