Five persons who were arrested in connection with a violent attack at Kpatinga in the Northern Region will be put before a court today.
They have been named as 32-year-old Hashim Mumanjadi, a Health Assistant, Alidu Alhassan, aged 27, a farmer and Fatawu Kpanala,35.
The others are Mohammed Dokurugu, 55, a farmer and Iddrisu Azindoi, 57 who is also a farmer.
They have been charged with conspiracy to commit crime, causing damage, causing harm and possession of fire arms.
The violent attack left one dead and at least five injured.
Many houses were torched as residents fled for safety as many children have not been in school for days.
Security has since been tightened pointing to planned further attacks.
Northern Regional Minister earlier led a Regional Security Council delegation to hold talks with feuding factions.
He warned that anybody who will fuel tensions in the area will not go unpunished.
Located in the Gushegu Municipality, Kpatinga has been recording violent crimes in recent times following a long standing chieftaincy feud.
Government in November last year, imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew on the community as part of measures to maintain law and order.
