Attorney-General and Minister of Justice, Dr. Dominic Ayine, has revealed that Kwabena Adu-Boahene, the former Director-General of the National Signals Bureau (NSB), embezzled millions of dollars earmarked for a national cyber defence project. Instead of executing the project, he allegedly funnelled the funds into real estate ventures both in Accra and abroad.
The investigations into Adu-Boahene have so far uncovered a sprawling web of properties and financial transactions allegedly tied to misappropriated state funds.

According to the Attorney-General, Adu-Boahene covertly operated a private company with his wife, which served as a conduit to siphon funds from a government contract. Over the years, this enabled him to accumulate substantial personal wealth.
