Let’s Avoid Accidents During Festive Season – Motorists Advised
He advised drivers to avoid unnecessary over speeding and over taking, which he observed were two major causes of road accidents, calling for a change in the status quo to ensure that precious lives are not sacrificed because of money.
As Ghana marks Christmas and the new year (2025) after a peaceful and successful general elections, drivers and other road users have been cautioned to be mindful of their activities to ensure that road accidents are reduced or avoided during the festive (Yuletide) season.
Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V, Divisional Chief of Aflao-Teshie who is also national Chairman of Max Transport Union of Ghana was speaking in an interview with Ghananewsonline.com.gh at Aflao over the weekend.
According to him, most drivers are in a haste to cash in on the festive season as many people travel to and from various places across the country to join their families and loved ones in celebrating the season hence break traffic regulations with impunity and often ignore road signs, resulting in the accidents and fatalities witnessed on the roads.

Torgbi Kpambi Vedzesu V used the opportunity to express appreciation to all members of MAX Transport Union as well as all it’s national, regional and branch executives for their commitment to duty over the years. He also extended felicitations of the festive season, while praying for God’s guidance and protection for all members in the coming years.
