Lil Win “Honours” Dead Toddler with Movie Premiere Suspension

Ghanaian comic actor Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as Lil Win, has postponed his upcoming movie premiere in Sunyani in memory of a three-year-old boy who was killed in a car crash involving his vehicle last weekend.

The premiere of his newly produced “A Country Called Ghana” which successfully took place in Kumasi on Saturday, May 25, 2024 after the accident was set to be premiered in the Bono Region on June 1, 2024.

However, two days ahead of it, Lil Win’s Management has released a statement cancelling the planned event, saying it is to pay respects to the dead boy.

“The management of Wezzy Empire regretfully announce the postponement of the premiere of its movie ‘A Country Called Ghana,’ initially scheduled to be screened in Sunyani on Saturday, June 1, 2024.

“This difficult decision was made in respect of the memory of the three-year-old boy, Nana Yaw, who unfortunately lost his life in a tragic accident involving our Chief Executive Officer, Kwadwo Nkansah “Lil Win,” last Saturday and to join the family in mourning their loss.”

A new date will be set for the premiere later; in the meantime persons who have gotten tickets have been assured it remains valid.

“We assure fans who have procured tickets that their tickets remain valid and can be used at a later date to be communicated.”

The Management used the occasion to extend their sympathies to the bereaved family.

The accident on Saturday, May 25, 2024, is reported to have been caused by the actor who was said to be overspeeding and veered off his lane into oncoming vehicles.

Meanwhile, a section of the public are calling for the arrest of the actor for reckless driving.
