LT. GEN. AKWA: What is the role of RANGER or OLA or Kwame Dankwa in the Military, Mr. President? -Owula Mangortey asks

I am a Citizen.

I rise to ask my respected Retired and Tired President Billy Akufo-Addo what is the role of one OLA or RANGER or Kwame Danquah in the Military.

Over the past few weeks your soldiers have been whispering of the presence of a “mystery man” called OLA or Kwame Dankwa or RANGER or Olatunde Durojaiye at the Military barracks.

Section 8 (2) of the Ghana Armed Forces Act of 1962 (ACT 105) clothes Your Excellency with power to appoint a Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) who shall be responsible ” for the administration of the Ghana Armed Forces.”

Accordingly, your CDS has to explain the presence and role of the “mystery” man called OLA or RANGER or Kwame Danquah or Olatunde Durojaiye in the military barracks.

Is he an Adviser to the President or the Minister of Defence?

Your soldiers whisper that since 2017, he has been the ” spearhead” in the arrest, interrogation and detention of several officers and men.

Your soldiers whisper that he has multiplicity of roles in the Ghana Armed Forces, including troops peacekeeping rotations.

Your soldiers whisper that OLA has traveled to most, if not all, ongoing peace keeping missions where GAF troops are deployed.

Your soldiers are interested to know if GAF bears the cost of OLA’s business class tickets.

Your soldiers are showing real interest in the name OLATUNDE DUROJAIYE.

Is he a Nigeria, American, UK or Ghana Citizen?

Your soldiers whisper that he has unfetterred access to the Chief of Army Staff and has permanent presence within the Office of the Provost Marshall and Commanding Officer of the the Military Police.

Your Excellency, is OLA a RANGER?

What is his cohort in the US Army Ranger School/ Course?

Your Excellency, I have attached a picture of a civilian with some GAF Officers on UN Peace Keeping Operations.

Will your Chief of Defence Staff confirm whether OLA or RANGER or KWAME DANQUAH or OLATUNDE DUROJAIYE is the man in the suit who is seemingly listening to briefings from the two soldiers?

What role is he playing and on whose authority?
