Mahama set to take over as substantive ECG Boss
A letter from the Presidency announcing the substantive nomination on May 13, urged the Energy Ministry to trigger the necessary modalities to facilitate Mr Mahama’s regularisation in accordance with the Company Act, 2019 (Act 992).
President Akufo-Addo has appointed Samuel Dubik Masubir Mahama as the new Managing Director of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
Mr Mahama who previously held the non-Executive Director position at ECG is expected to fully take over operations of the service provider after the statutory retirement of the outgoing boss, Kwame Agyeman–Budu by Tuesday, May 17, 2022.

Mr Mahama, a legal practitioner and graduate of the University of Ghana, previously worked as a non-executive director at GIHOC Distilleries, Country representative for Gulfsouth Forest Products, Partner at Dubik & Associates, and Wilkins Engineering among others.
