Mahama to address 2024 NDC Policy Dialogue on Friday
Mahama is scheduled to address the gathering on the concluding day, Friday, 23rd February 2024, underscoring the event’s significance in setting the direction for the party’s policy framework and electoral strategy.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) is convening a landmark National Policy Dialogue on the 22nd and 23rd of February in the Eastern Region.
The assembly, led by the party’s flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, aims to carve out the NDC’s policy priorities for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary Elections.
Under the theme of establishing a 24-hour economy, the dialogue is set to prioritize transformative policy proposals to rebuild Ghana.
The policy dialogue is a collaborative effort involving the NDC leadership, the NDC Social Democracy LAB—a prominent policy think tank of the party—and 200 distinguished experts.
These participants, sourced from the party’s structural hierarchy, the Minority Caucus of Parliament, and thematic groups within the Social Democratic LAB, specialize in areas crucial for national development, including Human Development, Finance and Economy, and Governance.
The two-day dialogue serves as a foundational step in the preparation of the NDC’s 2024 Manifesto.
It aims to lay the groundwork for a strategic, efficient, and lean government to take office in January 2025.
