Former President and National Democratic Congress (NDC) flag bearer, John Dramani Mahama, has emphasized the need for a seasoned leader to tackle the country’s economic challenges.

During his recent campaign trail in the Volta region, the former President said, Ghana needs a tried-and-tested leader, rather than an experimental one.

The flagbearer of the NDC, who is seeking re-election as president in the upcoming December 7 polls, cautioned against the “try me” approach, referencing the current government’s 2016 campaign slogan and similar tactics used by the opposition.
